Ekiuwa Aire is an award-winning Nigerian-Canadian children's author. She is passionate about sharing stories about legendary African figures, African history, and culture with children. Ekiuwa's debut title, Idia of the Benin Kingdom, was the recipient of the Children's Africana Book Awards, Kidsshelf Book Awards, and Eric Hoffer Book Awards. Her second book, Njinga of Ndongo and Matamba, was published in 2021.
